Notice:

Kay Kraus, a Board member of MACRS passed away on January 18, 2012.  She will be missed not only for her contributions to MACRS, but also for her many contributions in Family Court.  Kay was always a tireless advocate for the rights of children and their best interest was at the forefront of any decision she made.  Kay was responsible for the development of the Family Court Guardian ad Litem program as it exists in Hennepin County and helped many more families as a Parenting Consultant in recent years.

In addition to serving on the MACRS Board, Kay was also an integral part of the MICOD group that has now been merged into AFCC-MN and provided high quality training for Family Court professionals.  Kay was always innovative and along with Ellen Abbot, developed the "Summary Guide Comparing Roles in Family Court" relied on by many Family Court professionals.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to www.casamn.org.
