BOARD BIOS

 

Angie Banga – Board Member since 1999

Angie obtained a JD from William Mitchell College of Law.  She also worked at Ernst & Young for five years and obtained a CPA license while there.  Angie has been a Guardian ad Litem for 11 years, the past 4 years in Hennepin County Family Court and has been a partner in Banga & Manning, LLP for 7 years, doing custody evaluations, mediation, parenting time expediting and parenting consulting. 

 

Carol Breimhorst - Board Member since 2000

Carol Breimhorst began doing independent child custody evaluations in 1988 for Rice, Waseca, Dodge and Olmsted Counties.    In 1993, she was hired by Rice County Social Services.   Carol’s job entails all aspects of adoption as well as custody evaluations.  She continues to do private court ordered custody evaluation for surrounding counties.  Carol has served on the MACRS board since 1993 and she has been a Solomon’s Surrogates presenter since 2002.

 

Brad Dawson - Board Member since 1984

Brad Dawson, LSW, retired from Todd Co. Social Ser. in Oct of 2009 after 32 yr of providing custody studies and mediation services to residents of the county.  He, along w/ Lynn Johnston, have been co-owners of Heartland Mediations Services since 1984, providing these services to clients in surrounding counties. He has been doing custody mediation (gender neutral, team approach model) since 1980, and has utilized the same model for the mediation/arbitration process his team initiated in 2000.  He has been on the Board of Directors of MACRS (formerly ACCRS) since its inception in 1984.

 

Susan De Vries – Board Member since 1995

Susan is a psychologist in private practice in St. Paul. For sixteen years, she was the child psychologist at Hennepin County Family Court Services. Presently she is offering a variety of child-focused divorce related services, including parenting consulting, reunification therapy, early neutral evaluations, and settlement-oriented child psychological evaluations. She conducts workshops for other professionals, including the MACRS custody mediation training.

 

Lynn Johnston – Board Member since 1984

Lynn Johnston, LSW, is another Board Member that has been involved with MACRS since its inception.  She has been an employee of Todd County Social Services since 1972.  She is also involved with child custody resolution as an evaluator, mediator and sometimes arbitrator with fellow board member, Brad Dawson, in addition to doing adoption work.  

 

Kay Kraus – Board Member since 2006

Kay Kraus initially worked as a psychiatric RN for many years prior to graduating from William Mitchell College of Law in 1995.  She practiced law primarily in Family Court for several years then worked as coordinator for the Hennepin County Family Court program until November, 2005.  While still associated with the HCFC Guardian ad Litem Program as a contract attorney for guardians, she works primarily as a parenting consultant and custody evaluator for Child Centered Custody and Parenting Time, located in Edina. 

 

Heather Feikema – Board Member since 2007

Heather Feikema began her work as a Guardian ad Litem for the Seventh Judicial District in central Minnesota.  She is also a co-owner of Central Minnesota Custody Resolutions, Inc., which provides families with independent custody evaluations.  In 2005, Heather relocated and is now a Guardian ad Litem for the Third Judicial District in southern Minnesota.  She also works independently providing custody evaluations and related services to families in that area of the state.

 

Jennifer Livingston Rojer – Board Member since 2007

Jennifer received her Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1985. She has been involved in custody resolution work over twenty years. Since 1989 Jennifer has been employed at Hennepin County Family Court Services conducting custody mediation and evaluations, Early Neutral Evaluations, and coordinating their supervised parenting program, Jennifer has a special interest in supporting and presenting at professional trainings such as MACRS Rule 114 Custody Mediation Certification program.
 

 

Jacqulin V. Sebastian – Board Member since 2008

Jacqulin V. Sebastian obtained a Masters Degree in Theology in 1992 and obtained a JD from William Mitchell College of Law in 1996.  She does not practice law.  She does work as a Rule 114 Neutral and as a Guardian ad Litem.  She works in mediation as a Parallel Protection Process facilitator, family dispute resolution, parenting time expeditor and has recently been accepted to join a pilot project of early neutral evaluations (ENE) with the Duluth family court.  She does court ordered custody evaluations.  She also does medical ethics consulting and teaches medical ethics and general ethics to master level students.

 

Michael London – Board Member since 2009

Michael London, JD, practiced Family Law for 32 years as well as serving as a Guardian as Litem and an attorney for the Guardian as Litem Program.  He now is a mediator/evaluator with Hennepin County Court Services.

 

Jill Idrizow – Board Member since 2009

Jill Idrizow began serving as a Volunteer Guardian ad Litem in Washington County in May of 2003 and became an Independent Contractor in November of 2005, providing services in both Family and Juvenile Court.  In addition to Guardian ad Litem work, Jill also has a private practice in Stillwater, Minnesota where she provides Mediation, Parenting Time Expeditor services, Parenting Consultant services and Custody Evaluations.
